Thay Hin Bio Temple is located at Jalan Kakap in Teluk Betung. This temple was constructed by Po Heng in 1850, after the massive eruption of Krakatoa. The temple is the largest Chinese temple in Lampung and the oldest in Teluk Betung (or Betung Bay).
This historical landmark is easily recognizable due to its eye-catching color and significant size. The most of the antique structure is painted with a bright, red hue, clearly displaying the influence of Chinese heritage and architecture.
Thay Hin Bio Temple is 3.4 kms away from Swiss-Belhotel Lampung and took 10 minutes driving by car to the south via Jalan Diponegoro.
