Bakaro Beach is located in the north cost of Manokwari, side by side with Pasir Putih Beach. The unique of this beach is for the fish calling tradition. Calling the fish is usually done by the community who lives near Bakaro Beach to attract tourist visitors. They will use a whistle made by sea shell and blow it while carrying food, hence the fishes will come closer.
The characteristic of the beach which rocky is also made the visitors are possible to walk near the middle of the sea when the sea water is low tide. It makes the visitors are able to watch the base of the beach clearly with all the fishes.
You may reach Bakaro Beach with 18 minutes driving to the south east from Swiss-Belhotel Manokwari via Jalan Jendral Sudirman.
