Since 1980, Balai Pemuda function as Art Exhibition Centre of Surabaya inaugurated by the Mayor. Including as a founding centre for young artists who joined Bengkel Muda Surabaya (BMS) and Akademi Seni Rupa Surabaya (AKSERA). One of the main functions on Balai Pemuda is that the locals could rent the building for many purposes, such as: wedding receptions, seminars, exhibitions, art auditions, music concerts, etc.
To reach Balai Pemuda, it may take 6 minutes walking to the east through Jalan Gubernur Suryo.
